**Job Summary**:
The primary responsibilities of this position are to take in-bound calls from customers wishing to place orders for medical and dental supplies or place outbound calls to follow up and provide status information to customers. The Customer Service Representative will process orders, answer customer and account manager inquiries and resolve customer problems. This position is responsible for processing orders and the paperwork necessary to satisfy customer requirements.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for direct interaction with customer accounts and sales team to perform product inquiries, quotations and order entry processing.
- Suggest alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
- Maintain our medical and dental website including updating online pricing, photos, and products in our electronic database.
- Increase sales and average order size by cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales, selling our services and product initiatives.
- Follow up and provide status information to customers regarding their respective order(s).
- Review order for accuracy and make changes to existing orders.
- Research and resolve billing inquiries.
- Explain products and services and perform basic product research upon request.
- Remain current on product developments by attending training (company/supplier), reading trade journals, supplier literature etc.
- Prioritize and organize daily follow-ups to ensure timely resolution.
- Evaluate customer concerns and resolve problems to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Assist in delivery process, monitor assigned ship dates, communicate any delays with customers and sales team, and obtain/file proof of delivery.

- Must possess self-motivation and the initiative to exceed customer expectation.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to present information and solutions in a professional and courteous manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to handle call load and still complete other duties efficiently.
- Strong computer skills are required, including proficiency in Excel and Word, and the ability to quickly learn new programs such as our business software and the management of our online store for medical and dental customers.

**Education**: High School Diploma Required, Post-Secondary Education In Business Related Field is an Asset

**Experience**: At least 2-3 years of experience in customer service. Experience working within a distribution company preferred.
