**SUMMARY**:
The Estimator works under the general supervision of the Supply Chain Director. Working jointly with the Supervisor and or Director of the Microcircuits department (MEG) in order to produce the cost estimates for complex existing products as well as for new products in response to clients proposal requests. Also participates in the production of cost data related to costing and pricing for tenders and long-term contracts.
**TASKS**:
- Obtains the information and technical data, prepares, compiles and verifies the status of all estimation entries, while ensuring the liaison with the Program/Project Director, the Engineering services, Sales, Contracts and other technical and office support group;
- Analyses, evaluates and puts forward the modifications of these entries with those who are engaged;
- Prepares and makes the complete estimation summary from the limited information by adding the contingencies, the rights, the amortization of disposed material, the projected changes of man power rate, etc.;
- Provides detailed support information to the Program/Project Director;
- Analyses the variation between the estimation and true costs;
- Proposes ways to the Program/Project Director, Engineers and various support groups ways to reduce manufacturing and support costs;
- Presents finished work, provide highlights and supporting figures to the Management;
- Make specific recommendations to improve cost estimation processes;
- Participates in weekly meetings ont the progress of bid requests;
- Performs other normal related tasks as assigned.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Collegial diploma in Electronics or equivalent;
- Minimum of two (2) years as a cost Estimator, in the Electronic industry an asset;
- Good knowledge of Electronics an asset;
- Able to read electronic drawings, material lists and mechanical drawings;
- Excellent knowledge of Excel;
- Mastering French and English, spoken and written;
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
