Full-time (1.0 FTE) Term position

Sentinel Secondary School

Effective September 2, 2025 until the return of the absent teacher

or June 30, 2026
- The annual salary for a full-time teaching position ranges from $5_9_,_711_ to $10_9_,_520_, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The salary will be prorated based on FTE.**Required Qualifications and Experience**
- Evidence of appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching French
- Evidence of appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching English
- Hold a valid BC Professional Teaching Certificate
- Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology with the curriculum.
- Knowledge of the Ministry of education Prescribed Learning Outcomes (PLOs) and Integrated Resource Packages, (IRPs) as well as providing evidence of the use of criterion referenced assessment and Performance Standards.
- Possess excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents
- An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners.
- Knowledge and willingness to use Inquiry-based approach to planning and teaching
- A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills. A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
