Right now we’re looking for a **Unit Aide** to work in our **Emergency Department.**
Humber River Health’s Emergency Department delivers care to over 110,000 patients annually, providing timely, compassionate emergency treatment to patients and families.
**Employment Status**:Full-time
**Hours of Work**: Available to work rotating shifts(Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends & Holidays)
**Location**:Wilson Site
**Labour Group**: NOWU
**Reporting Relationship**:
**Hourly Rate**: $26.356 - $26.877
**Responsibilities**:
- Unit Aide duties in Emergency Department.- Maintaining and ordering of supplies in the rooms and department.- Stocks rooms with required supplies and linen.- Cleans equipment and ensures equipment is functional.- Ensures that sufficient supplies are on hand for patient care until the next ordering shift.- Other related duties as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- High school graduation or equivalent.- CSAO or Sterile Supply Processing certificate preferred.- Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial.- Hospital experience preferred.- Good knowledge of medical supplies and equipment.- Good command of the English Language, both verbal and written.- Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision in a team environment.- Demonstrated ability to set priorities.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Physically able to push stretchers, lift and store linen and surgical supplies, clean stretchers.- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.- Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
