Contract full-time position (35 hours per week)

**About the role**:
- Engage at-risk youth from Steeles-L’Amoreaux, including those with disabilities, newcomers, and from diverse backgrounds (racial, cultural, sexual orientation), in activities that promote resilience and positive development.
- Utilize a case management approach to develop and implement service plans that connect youth with necessary programs, services, and opportunities.
- Ensure accurate documentation and meet funder-set targets, completing required administrative tasks (e.g., Outreach Records, OCASI).
- Build positive relationships with youth, their families, and community services, while planning and coordinating outreach efforts in Glendower, Bay Mills, Chester Le, and other areas as needed.
- Identify and address emerging service gaps and opportunities in the community through environmental scans.
- Collaborate with youth, families, schools, police, and service providers to coordinate services and support.
- Lead community outreach, programming, public education initiatives, as well as partner with local agencies, businesses, and government to offer programs using arts, culture, and recreation.
- Actively participate in meetings, networks, and collaboration efforts, ensuring effective communication and positive relationships among all stakeholders.
- Provide services and support within the context of diversity, oppression, and poverty, and act as a mediator in challenging youth-related situations.
**About You**:
- Passionate about supporting youth and communities, with a strong ability to motivate others.
- Child and Youth Worker Diploma/Social Service Worker and 1 year of related experience, or a related bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working with high needs, disengaged youth and building partnerships in diverse communities.
- Knowledge of the Steeles-L’Amoreaux neighbourhood and experience with Toronto Community Housing.
- Strong skills in case management, client-focused service delivery, and addressing issues like substance abuse, street gangs, and racism.
- Experience in community development and engagement, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Able to work independently, manage time efficiently, and handle pressure with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and report writing.
- Valid Ontario G-class driver’s license and a clean driving record; access to a vehicle is an asset.
- Current CPR certification and police records check required.
**What we offer**:
Full time employment with benefits after 6 months
3-week vacation, 15 sick days, 2 float days
**Salary**: $28.51 per hour
