**Description**

The I.T./I.S Coordinator (ITISC) reports directly to the Director of I.T./I.S/BioMedical. The ITISC ensures the service desk process provides a complete solution for internal and external product users across all platforms. The coordinator works independently as well as with the Director of I.T./I.S/BioMedical to coordinate and prioritize technical services and Technology Project management.

**Qualifications**

**Education**:

- Grade 12 Diploma
- Post-Secondary education in Computer Sciences or Computer Engineering.
- Project Management Certification an asset

**Knowledge and Skills**:
**An extensive working knowledge in the following areas**:

- Microsoft Operating Systems including setup and security
- Microsoft 365 Applications
- Network topologies and protocols
- Routing, switches, firewalls
- Computer hardware and components

**Other Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in I.T/I.S.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people that have a wide variety of skill levels.
- Ability to work effectively in high stress situations.
- May be required to work evenings and weekends.
- May be required to work at affiliated sites.
- Criminal records check is required as per hospital policy.
- Demonstrated ability to independently identify issues, plan improvements, measure success and continue improvement.
- Demonstrated expertise in the technical aspects of end user education, incident investigation, incoming inspections, installations and evaluations.
- Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting
- Reliable attendance record
- Must physically be capable of performing the essential duties of the job
