**Matcon Excavation & Shoring Deep Foundations**:
- Shoring Division is one of the Lower Mainland's leading and most highly respected construction companies. Due to continued growth we are currently seeking a Shoring Operator. You will be part of a rapidly growing group with room to move up with in the company.
Experience in **Excavation Construction** is an asset, applicants must also have the ability to use small tools such as saws, hammers, drills, etc.
Applicants must have experience maintaining equipment, including pre-trips, inspections, maintaining fluid levels, and small repairs.
**Responsibilities Include**
- Knowledge of Shoring and Excavation Sites
- Shotcrete trimming experience is a requirement
- A great attitude towards safety and the safety of your peers
- Wet conditions experience
- Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment, perform minor repairs to equipment.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections on equipment and clean, lubricate, and refill equipment
- Ensure proper and safe storage of equipment.
- Is expected to operate all equipment in a safe and highly efficient manner
- Ensure equipment is well maintained and conduct a pre-operational check on equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols and policies.
- Attention to detail and desire to provide high-quality workmanship, get it right the first time.
**Essential Job Functions**
- Experience of 5,000-8,000 Hours as a Shoring Operator
- Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team
- Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule including different shifts and overtime when needed.
- Possible longer days, so overtime may be required on weekends too.
- Proven experience operating several types of equipment (excavator, bulldozer, front end loader, telehandler, skid steer, etc.)
- Maintenance/ daily paperwork
- Mastered the following tasks:
- Legal loading of trucks - from stock pile & in-situ
- Safe excavation slopes, etc.
- Site organization and able to keep site neat
- Understanding of handling
- Different soil types in wet& dry weather
- Understanding of grades
- Access and egress of site for trucks
- Bulk excavations, main line trenching, backfilling, hoe packing and hoe ramming
- Be able to recognize safety issues
- Must Contain a valid drivers license and be able to get to and from the job sites
**Salary**: $36.61-$40.93 per hour
