Refer to the "How to apply" section if you require a disability-related accommodation. **What can I expect to do in this role?**: Working as part a team, you will: - Lead/support the development and implementation of research, evaluation and performance measurement projects in support of divisional priorities - Provide analysis, advice, and expertise to senior management and stakeholders based on data-driven methodologies and insights - Lead/support the design and implementation of quantitative data collection methods and analysis of socio-economic, demographic and housing and homelessness data to inform program design and policy development - Lead/support data strategy to increase capacity for research, evidence and best practices to improve housing and homelessness policies and programs - Represent the branch on intra/inter-ministerial, intergovernmental and stakeholder working groups and committees **How do I qualify?**: **Research, Evaluation and Performance Measurement**: - You have knowledge of theories, principles and practices of quantitative and economic research, data and financial analysis and modelling, program evaluation, logic models and performance measurement. - You can conduct policy research, needs, gaps, and trends analysis that integrate a variety of interests and align with strategic direction - You have the ability to evaluate and monitor the financial and economic analysis and assessment of a broad range of issues. - You can design and implement data collection methodologies (e.g., surveys) to support policy/program development, delivery and evaluation - You can design performance measurement frameworks and data collection approaches to support policy, program development and delivery **Technical Skills**: - You have experience implementing methodologies to gather, analyze and interpret relevant socio-economic, demographic, program and financial data to support policy and program development and evaluation - You have experience with quantitative data analytics, exploratory practices such as data mining, geospatial analysis, development of relational databases, data visualization - You have experience with statistical software for data analysis and data visualization software - You can analyze and present economic and statistical data and interpretation to non-technical audiences and generate strategic insights and recommendations - You are familiar with key government commitments related to housing and homelessness issues. - You have good judgment and tact to recommend strategic directions and approaches to issue resolution. **Effective Communication, Consultation and Interpersonal Skills**: - You can develop reports, data visualizations and briefing notes using computer software and tools - You can effectively and persuasively deliver recommendations, advice and presentations to colleagues, senior management and stakeholders - You can liaise with municipal and federal/provincial counterparts and other stakeholders to research and develop joint initiatives - You can develop and maintain effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders - You can support effective, open and interactive communications and ongoing collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders from in and outside of government **Project Management and Organizational Skills**: - You can manage a variety of concurrent assignments to meet tight deadlines, including developing project plans and managing the progress of multi-disciplinary project teams - You have knowledge of project management principles and techniques to support the development
