**Position Title**: Chief Financial Officer
**Position**:
Atlantis Submarines is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our small head office team in Vancouver, BC. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO is responsible for the oversight of all financial matters of the Company. This is a hands-on role and involves some responsibilities normally carried out by a controller.
**About Atlantis**
Atlantis Submarines International (ASI) is a private, Canadian company and also a reporting entity under the BC, Alberta, and Ontario securities commission. It is a pioneer and world leader in passenger-carrying submarine technology and in the operation of passenger carrying submarines. Atlantis was established in 1983 to develop the world’s first tourist submarine. Since commencing passenger operations in December 1985, Atlantis has carried over 17 million passengers. Atlantis has licensed operations in Barbados, Aruba, Cozumel, Guam and Hawaii operating a fleet of 9 submarines. ASI is the licensor to all Atlantis operating sites and has ownership stake in some of the operations. As licensor, ASI provides engineering and technical support to the operations.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- All financial matters and regulatory reporting in accordance with IFRS including annual and quarterly financial reports.
- Preparation of consolidated financial statements and budgeting/forecasting.
- Key contributor to the company’s strategic planning process and execution of the plan.
- Assessment and monitoring of site financial performance, monthly correspondence including meetings with the general managers and attending site visits as required.
- Primary contact for the annual audit and responsible for preparation of audit documents with the bookkeeper.
- Preparation of Canadian tax filing and oversight of US tax filing.
- Review of legal agreements and contracts.
- Attendance at board meetings as required.
- Oversight of HR matters, the insurance program, and the IT function at the head office.
**Requirements**:
- CPA designation
- 5+ years of relevant management experience
- Strong technical ability and confident in completing complex financial consolidations
- Able to tackle detail-oriented tasks as well as higher level strategic planning
- Able to travel, typically 3 weeks per year
- Excellent communication and organizational skills and able to manage relationships
- Experience in the tourism industry and engineering environment an asset
**Compensation and benefits**
- Salary range: $115,000 - $125,000 (CAD)
- Benefit package included - extended medical and dental
- Flexibility to work partly remote
**Salary**: $115,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
