**Job Description** AECOM**is actively seeking a highly motivated **GIS Specialist**to join our team. As a GIS Specialist, you will contribute to impactful projects by leveraging your technical expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to produce, manage, and analyze geospatial data.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Utilize GIS software and tools to produce, display, and analyze geographic information.
- Develop and maintain geospatial databases, reports, and maps.
- Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation purposes.
- Perform quality assurance and control of GIS data and associated graphic components.
- Support digital data collection initiatives and provide GIS-related guidance to project teams.
- Prepare and update metadata for geospatial datasets.
- Extract and deliver GIS data to clients, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member on multidisciplinary projects.
**Qualifications** Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant GIS experience.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally up to 10%.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- 4+ years of relevant experience in GIS.
- Proficiency in ESRI software, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal, and tools such as Survey123 and Web Apps.
- Understanding of complex relational database design and functionality.
- Experience with raster and vector geospatial data processing and analysis.
- Strong skills in cartographic design and map production.
- Familiarity with GIS production environments and online mapping platform development (e.g., AGOL).
- Working knowledge of LiDAR and raster processing techniques.
- Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Canadian driver’s license.
