**Responsibilities**:

- implementing and monitoring Works Department requirements with respect to Regional road right-of-way/corridor management activities.
- Co-ordinate Utility design comments with internal staff and external agencies to ensure project delivery is efficient, timely and cost effective.
- Obtain, review and comment on Municipal Consent as-built drawings as necessary, co-ordinate with Regional ROW inspector and Utility company to ensure accuracy of final as-built documents
- Develop, apply, and monitor regional policies and guidelines related to right-of-way/corridor management including Municipal Consents, Road Occupancy Permits, and Utility Cut and Restoration requirements
- Co-ordinate with the Regional ROW inspector to provide site inspection before, during and after known Utility construction activities, follow up with utility companies / contractors to report deficiencies or successes.
- Provide guidance and direction to internal staff and external designers with respect to Utility design requirements.
- Prepare correspondence and respond to internal and external inquiries
- Keep current with all related legislation and emerging technologies
- Provide support for other right-of-way related functions within the division and department

**The successful applicant will possess**:

- A three-year post-secondary diploma in Transportation or Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline
- Registration or be eligible for registration as a Technologist with O.A.C.E.T.T.
- Several years of work experience related to the design and construction of municipal and/or utility infrastructure
- Knowledge of geometric road design and construction methods, surveying, Regional Design Standards, the Regional Official Plan, the Region's Arterial Road Corridor Guidelines, TAC Geometric Design Guidelines and the Region's Transportation Master Plan
- Demonstrated knowledge of Subsurface Utility Engineering mapping standards (ASCE 38)
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, customer service skills, time management skills
- A strong history of working collaboratively in a team environment
- A valid Ontario Class 'G' Driver's Licence with access to a reliable vehicle

**CUPE 1764 Salary Grade 7**
- Start: $43.88 - Six Month: $46.31 - Job: $48.75

**Conditions of Employment**

Proof of education, qualifications and any other job bona fide requirements will be required prior to start date. A current Driver's Abstract will also be required.
