Driver - Cube Van

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor. The Driver will be responsible for driving a Cube Van. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Education
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.

Years of Experience
- G License required;
- Minimum 3+ years of heavy commercial experience of operating heavy vehicle/trucks;
- Driver must bring with them a letter of experience from their previous employer or employer's insurer, a current dated CVDR from Service Ontario and a completion of a Driver questionnaire provided by State.

Working Conditions
- Work may involve some exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises;
- On site work environment involves some exposure to hazards of physical risks that require knowledge of and adherence to basic safety procedures;
- Work environment requires wearing PPE in certain locations;
- Required to lift up to 50 pounds; and
- Flexible to work overtime as require.

**Required Skills**:

- Clean driving record;
- Knowledge of OSHA;
- Flexible and able to adapt to fluctuations in the production schedule;
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrate State's core values and work in a team environment; and
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Job Specific Duties
- Tie material to truck;
- Drive cube van as required;
- Deliver, pick up materials and make several stops;
- Check that loads are secure;
- Perform daily equipment safety checks, conduct daily vehicle inspections and reporting any problems;
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards and securing cargo;
- Operate Boom Truck crane as required;
- Load and unload curtain wall mullions/material bundled up to 24 feet long;
- Represent State when delivering and on the road; and
- Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
