**This position reports to**:
Manufacturing Unit Manager
**Your role and responsibilities**:
In this position, you will nurture and maintain the quality culture in our Emergency Lighting manufacturing facility located in Dorval, Quebec, controlling quality with systems, tools and teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations and reducing cost of non-quality. You will manage our reliability lab as well as Customer returns including root cause investigations. You will also be responsible for the management and performance of our documentation team. You will be in charge of developing and maintaining the quality management system, managing all aspects in line with guidance from ABB Group/division/business area. - Coach and supervise Quality and Documentation team. - Analys, improve and assure proper follow up in regards of customer complaints - Analys of the Quality gap’s and make sure to communicate with proper parties in taking proper actions. - Put in place Quality KPI’s and ensure the proper corrections and or prevention actions are put in place. - Participate to the development activities of new products and product changes. - Making sure that the customer’s voice is represented in the local business, and presenting the management team with customer experience feedback - Enabling and coaching all employees to evaluate risks, problems, and solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view - Performing audits and ensuring the use of analytics to identify risks, failures, and non-conformances, and ensuring that appropriate action is taken - Managing and developing your team - Maintaining data base and assure documentation support
**Qualifications for the role**:
- 5 years of experience in electric or electronic manufacturing environment, working as Quality Manager with direct supervision or similar experience
- Sound knowledge of electrical safety codes and laboratory management excellence
- Proven track record in managing a QMS
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
- Proficiency in French and English is mandatory
- Sounds knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma, ideally black belt certification
