**Job Title: Automotive Parts Assistant**
**Position Overview**: The Automotive Parts Assistant is responsible for supporting the parts department in various administrative and operational tasks. This role involves assisting customers with parts inquiries, managing inventory, processing orders, and handling wholesale requests from body-shops.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Customer Service**:
- Identify the correct automotive parts based on customer requests and vehicle specifications.
- Process parts orders efficiently and accurately.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Assist in receiving, unpacking, and stocking parts shipments.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to the Parts Manager.
- **Order Processing**:
- Prepare and process parts orders for both internal and external customers.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Handle invoicing and billing for parts transactions.
- **Administrative Support**:
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department.
- Update and manage parts catalogs and pricing information.
- Assist with preparing reports and documentation as needed.
- **Technical Knowledge**:
- Stay up-to-date with automotive industry trends and parts knowledge.
- Use parts databases and software to look up and order parts.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers and colleagues as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in an automotive parts department or similar role is preferred, but always willing to train the right person.
- Valid Driver's License.
- **Skills**:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and components.
- **Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and equipment.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Local parts delivery in company vehicle.
- **Attributes**:
- Detail-oriented and accurate in handling transactions and inventory.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
**Compensation**:

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
