**Technician, general accounting**

**Department**: Global Shared Services - Finance

**Place**: 4204 Industriel Boulevard, Laval, QC, H7L 0E3

**Type employment**: Maternity replacement (14-month contract)

**Hybrid mode**: 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely

**THE ROLE**

Reporting to the General Accounting and Payroll Supervisor, within the Global Shared Services team, the Technician, general accounting will provide various period end analysis and quarterly analysis.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

Here are some ways you can make a difference:

- Contribute to the periodic and quarterly closure process;
- Perform balance sheet account analysis (e.g. prepaid fees);
- Perform banking reconciliations;
- Prepare periodic journal entries;
- Accounting for deposits;
- Execute preauthorized payments from franchisees;
- Invoice certain fees to external partners;
- Any other related tasks.

**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**

**REQUIREMENTS**
- DEC in accounting (equivalent experience);
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience ;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel ;
- Knowledge of the complete accounting cycle ;
- Have a concern for quality work, be autonomous and show initiative;
- Know how to manage priorities while respecting deadlines;
- Ability to work in a team and communicate;
- Bilingualism (French-English).
