Assisting Owner of the pub as required
- Exceptional management, leadership and coordination skills, to be able to manage the operations for the front house of the restaurant
- Communication skills are essential (verbally and written) as you may be asked to address phone calls and/or draft proposals to the marketing team or affiliated partnerships
- The position entails being a floor manager/bartender/server (you will floor manage through out your shift, while still doing the regular duties of bartender/server)
- Conflict management and problem-solving skills
- Deal with guests and staff complaints professionally and diplomatically and find resolutions
- Evaluate that staff are performing to the highest levels of service: oversee staff performance and provide (feedback to owner/higher management to improve productivity)
- Interact with guests to make sure they are having an exceptional service experience
- Make sure new employees receive proper job shadowing (serving practices, time management, and team morale )
- Come up with sales tips and ideas (send out weekly serving tips from Youtube for good serving practices) (ongoing staff training for upselling techniques for staff)
- Come up with ideas and make suggestions on ways to increase restaurant revenue (coordinate weekly with the marketing team/partnerships)
- Coordinating special holidays (decoration to be done) - large party reservations (take reservations for private parties) (coordinate with owners/bartenders/servers for monthly specials, happy hour, daily food and drink specials)
- Evaluate that all food served is of high quality
- Giving override to servers as needed
- Maintain the restaurant's image and suggest ways to improve it (find ways to reduce restaurant budget cost)
- Full knowledge of the menu with the ability to remember and recall ingredients in dishes
- Know all software (POS system) that is used in the restaurant with efficiency, be able to troubleshoot
- Monitor restaurant for cleanliness (hourly checks on the appearance of the restaurant and restrooms)
- Make sure job duty checklists are being done and signed off (servers, bartenders, bar backs, and food runners)
- Arrange and schedule a monthly major restaurant clean (make sure all areas are cleaned thoroughly)
- Must know all Food Safety and Sanitation procedures fully - check to make sure all sanitizer needs are supplied
- Follow HR policy and procedures properly and handle all situations with the utmost privacy and confidentiality
- Make sure that all staff have proper Serving It Right and Food Safe Certificates
- In charge of all incident logging
- Make sure all servers and bartenders follow proper liquor license guidelines and safe practices
- Staff fire drill practices
- WorkSafeBC practices
- There may be other duties related to this position as required

**Required**:
**1-2 years Manager experience/ 1 year bartending experience/ 1 serving experience**

**Serving it Right and Food Safe Certificate**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
