**What We Are Looking For**:
We are seeking a proactive, hands-on, full
- time **IT Manager** responsible for directing, planning, organizing and overseeing the daily activities of the streamlined Information Technology department and aligning it with the business objectives and policies of the organization, and those of the group. Areas include computer operations, cyber security, technical services, and user services. The IT Manager will also provide technical support with regards to hardware, software and maintenance of all IT-related equipment. Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures is required. This position will work directly for the CFO and closely with other peer managers to create a holistic team.

**The Role**:

- Craft and implement a comprehensive strategy for our IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security to meet the goals/needs of the company.
- Plan, organize, direct and evaluate the activities and operations of the IT department
- Work closely with the decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
- Responsible for the overall implementation of network security.
- Develop and implement IT policies, standards, procedures and best practices.
- Manage, implement, and test data backup and security strategies to meet DR and BCP objectives
- Source Hardware and Software purchases with the goal of maximizing value of IT assets at lowest cost as possible.
- Ensure smooth operation of office equipment and arrange for maintenance and repair work.
- Maintain IT Asset inventory.
- Forecast and create the IT department budget and capital asset plan.
- Responsible for the career development and mentoring of team members.
- Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports.
- Ensure all business activities comply with relevant acts, laws and ethical standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, systems and processes.
- Demonstrates the values of safety, teamwork, service, integrity, accountability, and ingenuity.
- Stay up to date with new developments in the IT industry.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- 2-5 years in Systems Administration, including Exchange admin, firewalls & VPNs.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of effective leadership in IT management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field experience and equivalent Technical Certifications.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
- Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, network and PC operating systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal and listening skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven organizational skills.
- Self-directed problem solving (methodical and logical).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and influence others.
- Experience in dealing with senior managers, executives and outside officials.
- High level of reliability and dedication, willing to work on emergencies during non-business hours as required.
- Experience with ERP systems (particularly, Navision would be an asset), and 2D/3D modelling and simulation software (preferred).
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (desirable).
- Authorization to work in Canada.
