**Position: Drafting Technician**

**The Opportunity**
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled **Drafting Team Member** to join our Product Development and Design team. In this role, you’ll produce highly accurate aluminum extrusion and shop drawings using **AutoCAD (2D and 3D)**, and communicate directly with aluminum extrusion die manufacturers to ensure seamless execution of new and revised profiles.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Create and revise **2D and 3D aluminum extrusion drawings** using AutoCAD
- Prepare shop and typical detail drawings to support internal teams and external stakeholders
- Interpret architectural plans and specifications to ensure compatibility with product systems
- Collaborate with internal design and engineering teams to support new product development
- Liaise with aluminum extrusion **die manufacturers** to review designs and resolve technical queries
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with measurement standards in both imperial and metric units

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Proven experience with **aluminum extrusion drawings and design**:

- Advanced proficiency in **AutoCAD 2D and 3D**:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting
- Ability to **read and interpret architectural drawings**:

- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- Comfortable working independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Must reside in Calgary or the surrounding area

**Education & Experience**
- Degree or Diploma in Drafting Technology, Engineering or related field
- Relevant work experience in aluminum fabrication, extrusion design, or architectural drafting is required
