**What you will do**

**Your future responsibilities**

As our Disability Management Specialist you will:

- Support, advise and coach management and HR colleagues in the development of absence prevention/early intervention strategies, successful return to work action-plans as well as how to proactively deal with return to work barriers.
- track and analyze key trends related to disability absences to identify initiatives/ideas that could be integrated with the Banks’s wellness strategy to continuously improve employe wellness
- ensure vendor management and case facilitation with third party providers for all aspects of disability management, including, At-Work Services, ergonomics, and accommodations.
- oversee and monitor the Ergonomic program by facilitating quarterly meetings with the Ergonomic consultant, providing input into quarterly reports and periodically auditing service levels and escalations to ensure adherence to program principles.
- advise and coach managers and employees on non complex employee relations files

**What you need to succeed**
- knowledge and understanding of an Integrated Disability Management Program and relevant policies and guidelines as well as resources available within an organization
- minimum of 5 years of experience in leading the development and implementation of a disability management program, including vendor management and reporting
- minimum of 1 year of human resources management from a broad perspective regarding best practices, policies, regulations, employee/labour relations and conflict management ideally in a federally regulated workplace.

**Your knowledge and skills**
- Knowledge of the Canadian Human Rights Act and in particular the Duty to Accommodate
- Working knowledge of accommodation principles and privacy legislation
- Knowledge of the Canada Labour Code
- Strong problem solving skills and ability in exercising sound judgment
- Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
- Detailed orientated and good organizational skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

**Nice-to-have**
- Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP)
- Knowledge and understanding of Employee Relations principles and practices

**Your education and experience**
The position requires a post-secondary education in human resources management, industrial relations or a related field and 5 years of experience in a client-focused role; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
