We envision a flourishing Muslim community in which help is available, shelter is attainable, and healing is possible._ ***Job title** Program Coordinator ***Reports to** Head of Outreach & Development ***Location** GTHA **Job Type** Remote **Job Status** 8-week Summer Contract (30 hours/week) Reporting directly to the Head of Outreach and Development, this position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on underserved communities by contributing to the success of our various projects. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **Program planning and development** - Coordinate and manage day-to-day activities, ensuring smooth and effective operations of our community service projects - Monitor and manage project budgets, prioritizing cost-effectiveness and efficiency - Purchase and organize necessary supplies and equipment - Collaborate in scheduling and executing project-related activities - Support in expanding outreach efforts into new regions as identified by the Head of Outreach and Development **Stakeholder engagement & partnership building** - Arrange and manage regular meetings with partners, maintaining effective communication and updates - Establish and nurture partnerships with community organizations to extend our reach and impact - Identify and connect with potential partners in areas of interest, establishing the groundwork for future collaborations - Create, improve, and maintain agreement contracts with new and existing partners - Manage communication between internal and external stakeholders **Volunteer and event coordination** - Engage volunteers in various aspects of the projects, fostering a sense of commitment and community - Offer on-call support during event days and assist in the planning and coordination of project-related events **In-person and on-ground support** - Provide essential on-site support at events for partners, suppliers, and volunteers - Ensure the effective set-up of booth tables - Display Nisa Homes banners, merchandise, and other collateral prominently at events **Evaluation and reporting** - Design and conduct surveys for beneficiaries and stakeholders to gather valuable feedback and assess the effectiveness of our services - Review and analyze key performance indicators, presenting findings to the Head of Outreach and Development - Perform regular reporting of KPIs and success measures on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis **QUALIFICATIONS** - Post-secondary education (University or College degree) in Social Work, Public Administration, Business, Entrepreneurship, or a related field. Equivalent on-the-job experience will also be considered. - Knowledge of community services, resources, policies, programs, and issues/barriers affecting underserved communities - Experience with project coordination within a social services context is an asset. **ELIGIBILITY**: - Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment - Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**; and, - Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations - As per section 13.1(a) of the Articles of Agreement, youth hired for a Canada Summer Jobs-funded job cannot displace or replace existing employees or volunteers, employees that have been laid off and are awaiting recall, employees absent due to an industrial dispute, employees on vacation, or employees on maternity or parental leave - National Zakat Foundation is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to complying with both the Ontario Human Rights Code and the AODA._
