We are seeking a dedicated **Project Controls / Contracts Specialist** to support our clients' **Underground Department**. This position will be responsible for directly managing a **unit rate contract** for their primary underground development and production contractor.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Oversee and administer the unit rate contract for underground development and production.
- Monitor contractor performance and compliance with contract terms and scope.
- Review and defend against contractor claims, leveraging hands-on underground experience.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of costs, quantities, and productivity.
- Collaborate closely with the Underground Department and site leadership to provide consistent project controls and contractual oversight.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all contract terms, deliverables, and obligations.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in **project controls, contracts administration, or cost management** within **underground mining** operations.
- Strong working knowledge of **unit rate contracts** and cost control methodologies.
- Underground experience in a mining setting.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in project controls systems, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
