Plastic Extrusion Operator

Mix batches of resin according to the formulation card for the extrusion procedure
- Put the weighed ingredients in the mixers, Utilize a mixing machine to blend chemicals and plastic to a desired consistency
- Place the combined material in the machine's hopper for processing
- Configure and run extruders to push plastic compound through a die, Extruder setup and operation
- Rolls of items that were reel-extruded
- Find flaws in extruded items. Check for specifications compliance
- Check each roll for the proper amount of ends, different color shades, texture, etc
- Place a label on the box as necessary and pack each roll into the designated container
- Assist the supervisor or extrusion technician with all needed aspects

**Job Requirements**:

- **2-3 years of experience of using plastic extrusion machine**:

- Basic communication skills and mathematics skills
- Can lift up weight up to 50lbs
- Should be able to stand consistently
- Should be familiar with basic safety rules and regulations
- Should be okay with the smell of plastic

**Shift Schedule**: 4 days a week

**Salary**: $15.50-$16.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Concord, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- plastics extrusion: 1 year (preferred)
