Brymark Installations Group Inc. is a British Columbia-based industrial contracting company that specializes in the installation of piping, structural, and mechanical systems for various industries, including petrochemical, bulk material handling, power generation, mining, and pulp and paper. They also offer maintenance, demolition, and project management services. Since 1983, Brymark has been known for its expertise, integrity, and reliability. **Key Responsibilities**:
- Plan, organize, direct, and control daily operations during the construction phase.
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and monitor progress using an earned value method.
- Prepare contracts and confidently negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
- Review contract violations/contract additions or deletions with sub-contractors and prepare necessary documents to complete projects.
- Prepare and negotiate contract changes.
- Understand and report job cost, profit, and forecasting estimates to accounting and management; work with project administrators on billing and accounts receivable.
- Act as a client liaison/contract liaison with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Efficiently deploy resources - people and equipment - for projects.
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety & Environment and Quality Assurance.
**Qualifications/Requirements**:
- A P.Eng, Applied Technologist or equivalent Trade experience is required
- Having a PMP designation is considered an asset
- 7-10 years of applied project management experience is necessary
- Experience in working with subcontractors and vendors and managing schedules in order to meet deadlines is needed
- Heavy industrial projects experience, including Process Piping (Oil and Gas), is required
- Being familiar with equipment used in the following sectors will be considered an asset:
- General Contracts & Multi-discipline trades
- Ports and Terminals, i.e. Heavy Equipment assembly - installations, Bulk material handling such as conveyors is a requirement: Pulp & Paper, Oil and Gas
- Contract documentation, contract review, and financial experience are required
- Knowledge of acceptable trade standards in order to obtain government approvals is a must
- Ability to prepare construction schedules, purchase orders, and other documentation as needed is necessary
- Excellent understanding of heavy industrial structural/mechanical components and processes is essential
- Use of computer software such as MS Project or Primavera P6 and the Microsoft Office Suite is required
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is necessary.
