**Overview**:
The Fire Apparatus Sales Representative role is suited to a business-minded professional who strives for organizational success, seeks career growth, and desires the ability to own one's own income potential. As a Fire Apparatus Sales Representative, you are responsible for driving profitable sales growth by developing, maintaining, and advancing accounts by regularly contacting existing customers and prospecting for new customers within a defined territory. This role reports to the New Apparatus Sales Manager.
**Fire Apparatus Sales Rep Responsibilities**:
- Grow and maintain an established sales territory in a sustainable and ethical manner.
- Employ a _consultive selling_ approach to identify and manage customer needs and expectations gaining a _trusted advisor_ relationship.
- Provide product information and quotations to Fire Departments with excellent communication skills and deep product knowledge.
- Travel is required to meet with Fire Departments, attend meetings and Inspections at Rosenbauer’s manufacturing facilities in the USA.
- Organize territory travel to ensure efficient use of travel expenses while maintaining high visibility in the territory and excellent customer service.
- Attend regional trade shows.
- Use CRM software to keep customer opportunities and information up to date.
- Learn and become proficient with Rosenbauer’s quoting program.
- Work with Fire Departments to spec and price new Fire Apparatus
- Quoting and estimating for Fire Department budgets
- Attend weekly team conference calls
- Work with sales manager to build a territory business plan. Execute plan and meet goals set within the plan.
**Fire Apparatus Sales Rep Skills and Qualifications**:
- Experience in sales/ account management
- Strongly customer focussed with equally strong networking abilities and professionalism.
- Comfortable with business technologies: Laptop with Microsoft Office and smart phone.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Strong entrepreneurial personality with the ability to work and learn independently.
- Affinity for technical or mechanical systems and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Driven for excellence in providing value added solutions.
- Team player - Listen, consult others, and communicate proactively with team members and fire departments.
- Fire industry knowledge would be an asset.
- Valid Class 5 drivers licence with “Q” endorsement minimum - Class 3 drivers licence will be required which can be achieved on the job.
We provide a phone and laptop. This position is salary plus commission with a benefit plan and provides a vehicle mileage program.
