Systems Administrator

**Responsibilities**:

GCOO leverages on its 5 Functions to meet strategic ambitions: Information Systems, Real Estate, Sourcing, Group Data Office & Global Solution Center.

Within the growing Storage and Backup Administration team, you will onboard a Level 3 support team composed of 5 engineers.

As part of an agile organized team, you will be responsible for supporting, designing, and improving the storage and backup infrastructures and tools. You will also be responsible for the follow up and the implementation of the security remediations.

**What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?**
- Take responsibility for storage administration and engineering in a large 24x7 environment.
- Closely communicate with both IT and business partners to design and implement solutions supporting business needs.
- Propose innovative and industrial solutions to automatize repetitive tasks and improve team’s efficiency.
- Ensure procedures are followed and mechanisms are in place to guarantee compliance to technical designs and best practices and ensure that they are well supported.
- Participate in the Follow the Sun support model by providing support for Europe and Asia.
- Manage the activity based on ITIL Framework (Change management, Incident/Request management).
- Onboard the teams’ routine and participate in overtime operations at least once a month.
- Contribute to market-watch initiatives and recommend solutions to improve the environment.
- Develop documentation and procedures.

- Provide peer technology training sessions for on-prem cloud (CEPH, Cinder, OpenStack).
- Evolve on DevOps methods using Python, Flask, Git, Ansible, etc.
- Work as part of an international group on a large-scale environment.

**Skills and Qualifications**:
**Must Have**:
Excellent technical skills on the following technologies:

- Block storage / SAN (VMAX, VNX, Brocade, Pure).
- NAS (Netapp).
- Object storage (S3).
- Backup technology (Netbackup, Networker).

Proficient in:

- Server OSs (Linux, Windows).
- Configuration management (Ansible, Salt).
- Cloud technology.

Competencies:

- Client focused, with a strong customer service mentality and ability to work with developers, users, and other staff.
- Ability to collaborate and bring in your creativity to deliver projects that will require interacting with different groups.
- Efficient on High Availability environments and DR scenario design, implementation, and testing.
- Committed to deliver audit response and remediation, with a Security focused mindset to participate in our environment hardening effort.

**Nice to Have**:

- Devops (OpenStack/CEPH/Cinder).
- Development (Python/Git).

**Languages**:English, French**
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States._
