**You as an Mechanical Estimator will**:
Assist in the bid process while building strong relationships with sub-trades and manufacturing representatives
Assemble accurate, timely, and well-organized estimates, including hard-bid, construction management, and design-build in a methodical and systematic manner
Organize sub-contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re-writing binders, and assisting the buy-out process
Distribute sub-trade quotes to personnel, flagging areas of concern, and coordinating with management to accommodate risk within the bid price
Maintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing, and project costs, for future reference
Review drawings and tender documents to understand the scope of work and submission requirements
Develops and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders, specifically sub-trade contractors and manufacturing representatives
Recognizes risks related to project-specific requirements, site, schedule, and market conditions /constraints
Completes full quantity take-off of all labor, equipment, and materials for medium to large projects
Coordinate scopes with Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, and Structural divisions/team members
Is this the right role for you?
Intermediate/Senior experience working in construction estimating or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
You have a working knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts
Experience on capable of working on conceptual estimates with mínimal information on ICI, civil, and design-build projects
Ability to calculate mathematical extensions, read and understand engineering drawings, scope narratives, contracts, cost coding systems, etc. is essential
