**Job Overview**

We are looking for a trustworthy and reliable Hostess to supplement our existing team and assist during the busy summer months. The Hostess will be responsible for greeting guests, escorting them to their tables, and have knowledge of all of the beers on tap and in our retail section. Breakwall also hosts many events throughout the summer that the servers will be involved with such as trivia, bingo, live music and canal days.

To be successful as Hostess, you should be outgoing, personable, and adept at stress management.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Greeting and confirming walk-in, and telephone reservations
- Answering the phone and taking and preparing takeout orders
- Ushering diners to their tables and providing them with menus
- Running food and beverages for Front of House staff as needed
- Knowledge on all beers on tap and in retail
- Able to change a keg and CO2
- Ability to recommend beer
- Clearing glassware, silverware, and crockery from each table once guests have completed their meals, or upon request
- Set tables
- Checking guests out at the end of their visit
- Communicating with front of house staff

**Qualifications**
- Smart Serve
- Wearing and maintaining the prescribed uniform
- Excellent verbal communication and memorization skills
- Great interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain composed, particularly during stressful or uncomfortable circumstances
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to perform additional duties to facilitate the restaurant's operations, as needed
- Knowledge of craft beer

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10-20 per week

**Salary**: From $15.50 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
