**Job Description: Hardware Packaging and Inventory Specialist**

**Position Summary**:
The Hardware Packaging and Inventory Specialist in the Hardware Department is responsible for efficiently and accurately packaging hardware products based on sales orders, ensuring proper inventory management of SKUs, and supporting the replenishment of stock through regular inventory counts and requisition placement.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Order Fulfillment**:

- Package hardware materials in accordance with sales orders, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines.
- Verify product accuracy against sales orders before packaging and dispatch
- **Inventory Management**:

- Maintain accurate records of stock-keeping units (SKUs) in the inventory system.
- Conduct weekly counts of high-movement items and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Ensure organized and easily accessible storage of materials in the packaging area.
- **Stock Replenishment**:

- Identify low-stock items and place material requisitions with the buyers in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to track the status of replenishment orders and ensure timely restocking.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect packaging materials and finished packages to ensure they meet company quality and safety standards.
- Report any defects, damages, or inconsistencies in materials to the appropriate teams.
- **Process Optimization**:

- Continuously evaluate packaging processes for efficiency and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with the team to implement best practices for material handling and inventory control.

**Compliance and Safety**:

- Adhere to workplace safety protocols and ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized packaging area in compliance with company policies.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory management or logistics are a plus.
- Prior experience in packaging, inventory control, or material handling in a hardware or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems and reporting.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Physical stamina to handle packaging tasks, including lifting and moving materials.

**Work Environment**:
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
