**DESCRIPTION**

The Digital Printer Operator must be able to perform all stages of the printing process, from the regular maintenance and set up to the finished product. This position requires a thorough knowledge of all aspects of printing, associated processes and materials in order to recognize and correct imperfections. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, operation of a full color inkjet press, troubleshooting issues within the printing process. E.g. Operation of machinery, throughput of paper, color adjustment and alignment issues, etc. The role requires strong organizational and time management skills to ensure that job deadlines are met, with a high level of quality control. Training will be provided.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Operate a Digital Envelope Printing Press in accordance with equipment operating procedures to produce printed material to specifications
- Retrieve the correct work order and load the job into the machine according to specifications.
- Input the appropriate configuration based on job specifications and requirements.
- Coordinate with the Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
- Visually inspect the job for imperfections, quality, and color density and adjust accordingly.
- Control and adjust machine settings as required
- Package jobs and complete work orders as necessary and placed in their assigned areas.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns, conduct minor repairs, and perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
- Place service calls and coordinate with the vendor for the repair of equipment as needed.
- Monitor and manage inventory of supplies.
- Ensure that the machine, parts and work area is kept in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
- Enter daily print work into log at the end of each shift
- Comply with all OHSA safety requirements
- Additional duties as required

**SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS**
- Experience in a print environment or similar environment
- Able to stand prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours per day
- Able to problem solve, multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must have attention to detail and willingness to take initiative.
- Able to frequently to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and attention to workstation
- Proficiency using Windows 10 MS Office and Adobe Applications
- Mechanically inclined and able to operate hand tools
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-24 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
