**Part Time Housekeeper Position**

Looking after a small cottage near St. Clements, and a condo in Waterloo.

Condo:

- Check in on condo twice a week & run the water
- Clean once every 6 weeks, approximately 3 hours

Housekeeping Duties at Condo:

- Clean rooms, vacuum
- Clean bathrooms and the kitchen, dust the furniture, and wash towels
- Keep steady supplies of bathroom products, change light bulbs
- Run dishwasher occasionally
- Work unsupervised

Cottage:

- 3 days of spring cleaning in early April
- One day a week of cleaning from April to November
- Check in once a week over the winter, and any cleaning needed such as cobwebs or droppings (December -March)
- Identify and report in a timely manner any potential issues (water leakage, rodents, etc.)

Housekeeping Duties at Cottage:

- Clean rooms, vacuum, and make beds (as needed)
- Clean toilets, dust the furniture, and do the laundry
- Keep steady supplies of bathroom products, change light bulbs
- Clean the kitchen, replenish fridge supplies, and gather groceries as requested
- Water plants as needed (inside and outside)
- Wipe down deck furniture and deck
- Work either unsupervised or under supervision

Interpersonal skills

The housekeeper should have a very reliable personality and highly developed listening skills. Knowing when to be honest and when to be respectful towards employers, or guests. Highly developed communication and a certain level of professionalism are also important. Also, a certain level of integrity is required if conflictual situations appear.

Detail-oriented

A housekeeper must have a great attention to detail in order to be able to complete their tasks successfully. The professional has to have some measure of adaptability in order to finalize each task correspondingly. Also, quick wits and the ability to work either unsupervised or under supervision is important.

Organizational skills

Superior organizational and planning skills are also necessary. The ability to follow procedure, instructions, protocol, and being able to incorporate that in their work is extremely important for the housekeeper job.

Physical strength

High levels of energy are also necessary to be able to perform the housekeeper duties. Moderate to high levels of stamina are necessary, as well as a high physical strength since it is required to stand, kneel, crawl, bend, squat, crouch, and work in confined spaces for long periods of time. Moreover, a resistance to dust and cleaning chemicals is also useful.

**Requirements**:

- At least 2 years experience as a housekeeper
- KN95 masks are mandatory when others are in the space - masks will be supplied by the employer
- Provide proof of up-to-date Covid-19 vaccinations
- Must have own car
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- 2 References

Wage: $25 hour

Start date: Immediately

Part-time hours: 10 per week

**Salary**: $25.00 per hour
