Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for ensuring regular plant maintenance is scheduled at a high level to meet the needs of the business. This includes maintaining CMMS data, engaging in cost avoidance practices and liaising with external contractors.

Key Accountabilities
- Create and publish weekly and daily schedules;
- Ensure that the CMMS software data files are complete and current;
- Schedule outside contracting for daily, weekly tasks and adjust for unexpected emergency work;
- Collect drawings, manuals and other documents to assist contractor and maintenance repairs or modifications;
- Estimate costs of labor and parts;
- Maintain the spare parts inventory database;
- Work in conjunction with the maintenance team to maintain the work order system and daily / weekly reports;
- Able to perform additional support in maintenance functions (Mechanical or Electrical) as required;
- Provide management with information on inventory, and other maintenance activities;
- Track and report facility maintenance performance in line with the agreed reporting formats;
- Forecast preventative and predictive maintenance workload volumes and labor schedules;
- Ability to make recommendations in partnership with the maintenance supervisors;
- Assist and support maintenance manager with improvement projects;
- Serve as a liaison between maintenance and operations;
- Maintain records and files essential to maintenance management system;
- Prepare preventive maintenance plans that are aligned with the Sofina’s maintenance goals;
- Support project management, stockroom and purchasing activities when needed;
- Track and report facility maintenance performance in line with the agreed reporting formats;
- Other related duties.

**Requirements**:

- Experience with electronic maintenance management and sourcing tools, CMMS (i.e. AS400, eMaint)
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels of employees as well as internal and external customers, to influence and drive positive change.
- Strong negotiation, problem solving, analytical, strategic planning, results driven, execution, detail orientation and customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), attention to detail and professional.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Ability to prioritize and multi-task, with good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and provide innovative solutions.
- Mechanical aptitude to identify mechanical / electrical components for sourcing and procurement.
- Knowledge of key part suppliers and distributor or OEM parts, commodity productions and consumables.
