**Position Summary**
The Dishwasher, reporting to the Support Services Manager, provides support to clean up associated with all meal services in St. Andrew’s Residence. We are currently recruiting for three temporary Full-Time positions
***Responsibilities**
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment in the facility
- Scrape, rinse, and complete manual ware washing as required.
- Wash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishes
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain dish washing area.
- Dry dishes and utensils as required and organize them properly
- Empty trash containers regularly
- Maintain a clean work area by sweeping and mopping as needed
- Perform additional cleaning duties as requested
- Clean food prep stations and equipment
- Adhere to established policies and procedures including Health & Safety and Infection Control
- Work as a member of a team with all other facility personnel
**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES**
- Previous dishwashing experience in retirement/institutional setting preferred, but not necessary.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must conduct themselves in a courteous manner at all times and have excellent customer service skills
- Must be organized and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills evidenced by ability to work well with fellow staff in all departments, ability to communicate and identify problems with proposed solutions to managers and co-workers.
- Able to read, write and speak English
**Health Screening Requirements**:
Each member of staff must have a 2 step TB test
Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
