**Job Summary**: The shipper & receiver at Milltech Millwork is responsible for the overall handling of products that have entered or left Milltech premises.

**Job Relationships**:

- The shipper/receiver will report to the Floor Foreman and Purchaser.
- Work Location - The shipping & receiving office, adjacent to the loading dock.

**Duties**:

- Receiving all raw materials and stock items that arrive at Milltech.
- Managing and controlling inventory.
- Distributing inventory to bins and storage areas, including assembly areas and saws
- Counting, labeling, packing and shipping all finished product that leaves Milltech.
- Requesting the purchase of standard inventory items.
- Fulfilling hardware, sheet goods and lumber for work orders
- Monitor delivery schedule, to ensure space is available.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and oversee shipping and deliveries, using Trakware.
- Control access to and use of the loading dock facility and the stockroom.
- Receive materials including all lumber and hardware products, and store them in the appropriate location, including unloading, checking quantity and signing packing slip.
- Select and deliver materials to the appropriate bin or storage area on the shop floor
- Allocate product to inventory in Trakware.
- Update Purchase Orders in Trakware TouchTrak to show what's been received.
- Request the Purchaser order additional low inventory items
- Arrange for return of materials to vendor in case of excessive, wrong or damaged materials that Milltech won’t accept.
- Organize orders for delivery by Milltech.
- Load trailers for delivery by outside transport firms, with helper(s).
- Ensure loading dock and storage areas are kept neat and organized
- Run and print Trakware report which outlines what deliveries are expected in next week, review report, and if required, move materials to create space for incoming deliveries
- Maintain professional image to customer and other employees.
- Comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Legislation and with Milltech’s Health & Safety Policies.
- Demonstrate a professional attitude when approaching work assignments.
- Display a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks.
- Assist in developing timely solutions to problems.

Maintain a clean and safe workplace.

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
