**Position Overview**:
We are actively seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join our dynamic team as we incorporate our Lloyd coverholder Builders risk / Errors and Omissions / Legal Expanse Insurance programs (to be referred to as “The Trio”. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in analyzing and underwriting “The Trio” insurance policies for our esteemed commercial clients. Collaboration with the sales team is essential to identify, evaluate, and provide tailored insurance solutions that align with our clients' unique needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze and assess insurance policies for commercial clients in “The Trio” space, ensuring a meticulous evaluation of risks.
- Underwrite and evaluate policies within delegated authority limits, making informed decisions aligned with company policies.
- Identify and assess risk factors related to projects, adapting underwriting decisions accordingly.
- Determine optimal coverage levels and premiums, interpreting policy forms, endorsements, and coverage requirements with precision.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to devise and implement customized insurance solutions for clients.
- Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with agents, brokers, and insureds, fostering rapport for effective collaboration.
- Collaborate with other underwriters, claims personnel, and risk engineers to uphold robust risk management practices.
- Offer comprehensive underwriting support and guidance to agents and brokers, ensuring a clear understanding of policies and procedures.
- Stay updated with industry trends and regulations, maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of extensive experience in commercial underwriting, with a focus on builders risk, E&O or Legal Expense insurance.
- Proficiency in policy forms, endorsements, and coverages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex risk scenarios effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities for seamless collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to handle complex underwriting processes.
- Experience utilizing underwriting systems and software effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
