DEPARTMENT: Commercial Insurance

REPORTS TO: Assistant Director, Commercial Insurance

STATUS: Contract, 12 Months

Summary of Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional service to your assigned brokers alongside the Production & Portfolio Underwriters with respect to new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, certificates, etc.- Assess risks, underwrite and process at a level of moderate risk for policy changes and renewals- Operate department phone queue- Record underwriting info for the purpose of evaluation, assessment, audit & profitability- Identify opportunities to support Unica’s strategy and analyze and report identified trends to management- Other duties as required

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- A detail oriented and analytical thinker- Self-motivated, innovative and naturally enthusiastic- Strong communicator in all varieties (written, verbal and presentation skills)- Excellent time management skills in order to prioritize and meet deadlines- Proficient in Microsoft Office products- Exceptional phone etiquette- Must be flexible with hours of work as required

Education and Experience:
- University/College degree- CIP/CRM obtained or working towards one or both of these designations
