The **Elmira** facility is a state of the art production facility used to manufacture synthetic lubricants and additives for lubricants, plastics and rubber. In addition to the main production facilities we have a comprehensive wastewater treatment system that is used to treat all of the process wastewater that is generated on site, and a groundwater treatment system to remove historic contaminants prior to discharge. The Elmira site is also home to a pilot plant, which is used by our scientists and engineers to develop and test new products and production processes.

Situated on 75 acres (of which 22 acres are used for operations), the manufacturing facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our hourly employees are represented by the United Steelworkers Union.

The **West Hill** facility began its operations in 1962, The first operation at the West Hill site consisted of a custom blending facility for a major Canadian oil and gas company. In 1992, the property at 565 Coronation Drive was purchased. It currently houses offices, a research and development laboratory and a finished goods warehouse.

Today, around 100 employees work at the West Hill facility where we manufacture Grease and Specialty Additives. Our grease is used to keep machinery running smoothly in food processing, manufacturing, marine, power generation and many other industries. Our Specialty Additives and lubricants are used in automotive, marine and aviation oils, transmission fluids and fuels to enhance performance and extend engine life.

Both sites (Elmira and West Hill) are registered under the ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management standards.

**Job Highlights**:

- Evaluate Work permits
- Site rounds - EHS surveillance
- Prepare monthly data on safe work permits, JSBOs, JSAs, waste analysis
- Assist External parties in Water sampling on site
- Assist External parties in EHS related activities
- Updating SDSs to SharePoint
- Manage site waste handling activities including classification, tracking, disposal and coordination of minimization efforts.
- Develop and, where appropriate, deliver EHSS training programs covering the facility’s safety policies and procedures, new employee and contractor orientation, and required regulatory training.
- Participate in the identification of risks through tools such as JSA’s (Job Safety Analysis) and helping to ensure that controls are established to mitigate the identified risks.

**Requirements**:

- Currently in college or university education in Environmental Sciences, Engineering and/or Occupational Health & Safety related disciplines.
- Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and SharePoint. Working knowledge of SAP a plus.
- Ability to read and understand SDSs, chemical processes and hazardous energies.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a constantly changing workload.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
