Entegris is seeking a talented and enthusiastic **Production Chemist** for our facility in Toronto.

This role supports the Production Department in manufacturing, purifying and packaging materials with hands-on assistance especially with, but not limited to, air/moisture sensitive materials and materials produced in low volumes.

The **Production Chemist** will work 12 hour shifts (3 days/week then 4 days/week) on a monthly rotation of days and nights.

We are open to training a motivated person with limited manufacturing or chemical experience

In this role you will:

- Independently run chemical reactions following a procedure in a safe manner.
- Be responsible for manufacturing of chemicals according to predefined procedures and within health and safety operating procedures.
- Maintain a rigid adherence to production specifications and procedures.
- Maintain strict compliance with housekeeping protocol, and Health & Safety requirements.
- Ensure that all required documentation is current, complete and accurate.
- Develop and maintain thorough understanding of chemicals used in manufacturing, production procedures and underlying chemistry.
- Support team members with your sound understanding and demonstration of safe operations in the plant.
- Complete associated documentation for ISO, customer and production files.
- Perform analytical testing; inspect and maintain production equipment as required.
- Be required to perform shift and weekend work in 24/7 operations.
- B.Sc. degree in chemistry or college diploma in chemical technology or a related field OR experience in a manufacturing facility working with chemicals or other materials
- Strong interpersonal and team communication skills
- Strict attention to detail at all times (following procedures, documentation, equipment usage, chemical storage/disposal/handling)
- Ability to thrive in a diverse, collaborative environment

Pay: From $56,000.00 per year
