**Reports to**: Night Millwright **Employment**: Seasonal Full Time
- Rink Maintenance is responsible for the maintenance of the rink, accesses, surrounding areas and rink equipment.

**Position Requirements/Skills**:

- Ensuring that the skating surface is properly maintained
- Operation of the Zamboni and Skid Steer
- Clearing the rink of snow
- Ensuring the safety of the rink and accesses
- Maintain the walkway mats, signage and closures
- Refuel and maintain the Zamboni and Bobcat
- Maintain and repair the skate helpers, signs and benches
- Stock, light and maintain the firepit
- Remove garbage and recycling
- Summon first aid if required
- Open and close sections of the rink as required
- Communicate effectively with rink hosts regarding operations
- Work cooperatively as a member of the rink team ensuring safe work practices are adhered to at all times
- Comply with all department and company policies, and procedures
- Perform other tasks, as assigned by their supervisor
- Uphold the highest standard customer service at all times

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Guest service experience an asset
- Zamboni and Bobcat experience an asset
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work in a cold outdoor environment
- Proven self-motivated, ability to work well with minimum supervision
- Excellent guest service skills
- Excellent organization, time management and communication skills
- Must have a high level of attention to detail
- Work well within a diverse team environment
- Flexible availability: including evenings, early mornings, weekends and statutory holidays

**Physical Demands**:

- Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift and carry 20kg, or pull 50kg at various times during the shift.
- Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill duties.
- Requires grasping, tool use, shoveling, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Driving equipment
- Rolling and unrolling hoses
