Double Star Drilling has an immediate opening for a full time Anchor/Micropile Drillers Assistant. Previous field experience as a skilled labourer is required. The primary responsibility of the Anchor/Micropile Drillers Assistant is to assist the Equipment Operators (Driller’s) and Superintendent.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Operating small to medium sized equipment
- Traffic Control
- General equipment maintenance
- Participating in all safety meetings and toolbox meetings
- Physical and manual labour
- Removal of drill spoils
- Site clean-up
- Changing of bits, casing, and all other tooling as required

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Qualifications**
- Ability to communicate fluently in English is an asset
- A minimum of 1 year experience as a skilled construction labourer
- Class 5 license and clean driver abstract
- Must provide own transportation to job site
- Must be on time and fit for work for all shifts as communicated by the site supervisor
- Will be required to perform a drug and alcohol test for pre project access or post incident review
- On-the-job training is provided
- Valid CSTS-2020
- Valid WHMIS 2015 certification
- Valid Ground Disturbance considered an asset
- Valid First Aid considered an asset
- PPE Provided
- Hard Hat, Glasses, Gloves, Ear Protection, Coveralls. You are
- Required to have your own CSA Approved Steel Toe Boots and warmer clothes for winter season
- Mechanically inclined an asset
- Experience with various power tools, shovels, and other construction equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs repetitively

**Working Conditions**:

- Overtime as required
- Must be able to travel out of town and accommodate last minute scheduling
- Repetitive bending and lifting
- All types of weather
- All types of terrain
- Fast paced environments

**Hours and Schedule**:
Double Star Drilling’s tentative operation hours are from 7:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday. Depending on production, schedule and timelines overtime and weekends may be required.

**Experience**:

- skilled construction labourer: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- CSTS2020 (required)

- Ground Disturbance 2 (preferred)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Class 5 license (required)
