Edmonton, Canada B Smart Daycare And OSC Full time

Looking for a full-time, professional, passionate, responsible, friendly, and experienced staff member in Early Childhood Education (Level 2 or 3) to join our team in the **Infant Room** at B-Smart Daycare & OSC (Edmonton North Location) Unit 207-10807 Castle Downs Road, Edmonton, AB.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Be knowledgeable of the Alberta Licensing Act and Alberta Health Guidelines for childcare centers.
- Plan and implement a daily program that aligns with infants' developmental needs and follows the Alberta Flight Curriculum.
- Create engaging weekly bulletin boards that showcase infants’ work and activities.
- Prepare age-appropriate projects and activities that promote innovative themes and extended learning opportunities.
- Record and manage daily attendance.
- Participate in all staff meetings and in-service workshops.
- Ensure the health, sanitation, nutrition, and safety of each child at all times.
- Document any accidents in the accident log and follow up as necessary.
- Report any unusual occurrences or behavior changes in children to the appropriate staff.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding infants toward respectful, kind, and well-mannered interactions.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be a resident of Alberta with an existing work permit, permanent residency, or Canadian citizenship.
- College certificate, diploma, or university degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) from Alberta.
- Valid Criminal Record Check.
- First Aid, AED, and CPR Level C certification.
- Proven experience in early childhood education, preferably with infants.
- Strong leadership, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, positive, and supportive attitude toward children, parents, and staff.

**Salary**:

- Starting wage for Level 2: $18.50/hour plus top-up.
- Starting wage for Level 3: $21.00/hour plus top-up.
- Salary may vary depending on education, work experience, and qualifications.

**Experience**:
