Professional Van Operator/truck Driver

We are seeking a Professional Van Operator/Driver - Household Moving to join our team You will be responsible for safely operating any of the following commercial vehicles depending on licensing: single axle or tandem straight truck, or a tractor trailer. The Professional Van Operator is responsible for providing a high service standard by managing crews and customer expectations throughout the moving process. Work will be performed locally within Nova Scotia and you may be required to travel outside the province from time to time.
**Responsibilities**:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle with airbrakes
- Load and unload household goods
- Properly track and document electronic activity log
- Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
- Manage crews on jobsite and throughout moving process
- Manage customer relationship throughout entire job
- Be a point of contact for the customer throughout the entirety of a moving cycle
- Inspect truck before and after trip
- Complete Bills of lading, inventory listings, work orders, etc.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong work ethic
- Drivers license classifications desired: Class 1, Class 3, or Air Brake Endorsement
- Experience in similar position an asset or 1 year minimum in industrial driving.
**Skills and Attributes Required**:
- Service Oriented - Must be able to manage customer expectations with a very high level of quality service
- Writing Skills - Must be able to fill/write logs, inventory listings and bills of lading

Pay: $18.50-$25.00 per hour
