Project Delivery Specialist

**What would you do?** As a Project Delivery Specialist, you will work with the Delivery Onboarding and Support teams within the organization to plan and deliver client facing projects to meet our clients’ IT resilience and cloud computing needs. This is a hands-on role responsible for performing project work and delivering solutions within planned time and budget expectations, while providing a high-touch customer experience to our clients. This role will report to the VP of Implementation as a member of the HostedBizz Delivery Team.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Installing and configuring Veeam Backup and Replication for customers.
- Co-ordination between multiple customer teams, vendors, engineering, and cloud teams
- Deploying virtual machines, firewalls within virtual environments such as vCloud Director.
- Configuring virtual machines for customers upon first deployment, such as creating Domain Controllers, RDS environments, etc.
- Deploying VDI environments between vCloud Director and VMware Horizon
Deploying Veeam Backup for O365 jobs.
- Ensure that sales & customer requests are attended to in a timely manner and follow appropriate procedures
- Manage multiple project orders, prioritizing work against aggressive timelines
- Work with managers to plan resource availability and distribution of work
- Explain variances and risks during project execution and identify action plans
- Work closely with engineers and customer teams to ensure proper deployment of services
- Deployment of clients/partners project orders
- Answering customer queries, arranging onboarding/project dates with partners & clients, communicate with customer pre and post project delivery
- Reporting project status and updates in systems and dashboards daily
- Resolve roadblocks, working with all stakeholders to solve disruptions to project delivery
- Provide concise, consistent, and effective communication
- Validation of proposals and orders to ensure validity of proposed solution lines up with orders
- Occasional support overflow for delivery team
- Work with supervisor to recommend process enhancements new hardware to improve efficiencies and customer experience
- Work onsite in our Ottawa location of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office

**What do you know?**

**Basic Qualifications**:

- 3 - 5 years of combined experience in cloud technologies or business continuity as a technician, administrator, engineer, project manager or helpdesk team member e.g., SaaS, IaaS, DRaaS, BaaS
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components such as virtualization, networking, Data Center Services, Public Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Backups, and Disaster Recovery
- Ability to lead and drive discussions around next steps to resolve issues and progress project work
- Ability to summarize and document work breakdowns and document a plan to completion
- Measure progress of completion of plan to ensure work is getting done and issues are quickly resolved
- Status Reporting - ability to communicate project status, health, identify any risk and issues with mitigation plan to address
- Professional communication, problem solving and organizational skills
- Strong written communication and presentation skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Business processes and results oriented
- Comfortable engaging with external customers, both at the technical and executive levels.
- Ability to take ownership to document meeting notes, and action plans to achieve objective
- Experience working in Microsoft Office, Teams, Slack, Zendesk and Zoom

- Professional Certifications e.g., Veaam, AWS, MSFT, Cisco, Fortinet, CompTIA
- Experience working with work management or ticketing systems e.g., CRM, Salesforce, ClickUp, Smartsheet, Zendesk
- Strong design-oriented thinking
- Experience with VMware, Veeam, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Fortinet
- Previous hands-on experience in DRaaS, BaaS, IaaS, SaaS, network engineering or cloud administration role
- Ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
- High degree of comfort presenting with executives, IT management, and developers
