**Key Responsibilities**:

- Executes routine repairs and carries out minor maintenance to electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance across the residence, including major systems inspections, legislative checks and life safety’
- Paints and performs minor carpentry when required.
- Conducts regular reviews of the entire building and reports findings to supervisor.
- Assists with the turnover of suites when new residents move in to the residence.
- Identifies and investigates residence deficiencies and equipment malfunctions and takes appropriate corrective action.
- Understands and follows all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conducts regular fire and emergency preparedness drills.
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience as a maintenance worker.
- Demonstrated skills in light carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting and equipment maintenance.
- Certificate from a program in general maintenance.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Available on call as needed.
