Adamson Systems Engineering is a vertically integrated manufacturer with a broad range of production technologies, located in beautiful Port Perry, Ontario. We manufacture a broad range of live performance audio equipment used in concerts and on stages around the world.

The Financial Controller leads a team of analysts that is responsible for contributing to the strategic growth of a globally recognized premium brand. The team's goal is to ensure the completion of all accounting functions according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Accounting Standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise Accountant, A/R, A/P, Payroll
- Oversee the company’s financial reporting strategy for internal and external reporting requirements for 3 legal entities.
- Devise processes to ensure financial data is complete and appropriately captured and reconciled in the Company’s ERP system.
- Provide recommendations for procedural improvements. Work with ERP team to enhance systems
- Create robust monthly, quarterly and annual statements, close financial processes and checklists.
- Manage customer account balances and account statements including: receivables, credit memos, and deposits.
- Responsible for all daily financial transactions, including but not limited to: Inventory, AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations, Billing, Payroll, HST, full cycle bookkeeping to the standards of Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
- Preparation of necessary audit documentation. Liaison with Auditors.
- Dealing with other CRA matters as they arise
- Establishes or recommends to management major economic strategies, objectives and policies for the company. Acts to link/align the major business functions to profitability, growth and cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with record retention requirements.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Holder of CPA designation in good standing.
- Previous experience with ERP systems integration is preferred.
- Experience with Odoo ERP is a plus.
- Previous experiences in public accounting is preferred.
- Ability to work in a self directed manner and lead a team.
- Experience in or with a manufacturing environment
