**Position Summary**:
The Community Crisis Centre is a client-centered mental health service delivery model that provides crisis response services to individuals who are experiencing an acute mental illness and/or psychosocial crisis. Using the principles of client-centered care, the Social Worker will provide services to clients, which includes assessment, and planning, crisis support/counseling, medical intervention, environmental interventions and crisis stabilizations, provide appropriate referrals to ongoing services and supports, monitor and evaluate the achievement of goals, provide information, consultation/collaboration, and advocacy. This position contributes to the hospital mission by being a team member, which ensures confidentiality, quality, and client-centered health care in the community.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of one year experience working in adult mental health - Required
- Proven crisis intervention skills and good knowledge of mental health illness and social problems
- Knowledge of mental health support services in the Windsor and Essex County
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all patients, staff and visitors
- Clinical skills to assess signs and symptoms of psychiatric illness, experience with psychosocial, and risk assessments
- Good problem solving ability, and work well under pressure
- Ability to work independently, or as a Crisis team
- French Language Proficiency is an asset

**Education and/or Certification**:
Bachelor/ Master of Social Work - Required
- Registered with the Ontario College of Certified Social Workers - Required
