Care Manager

As a Care Manager, you are also a key part of our administrative operations. You are responsible for ensuring proactive management of the booking schedule and having a critical eye on sessions, therapist shifts, completing billing and accounts receivable, and doing your part to keep our well orchestrated operation thriving. You will also develop and facilitate learning opportunities for the Care Team, including addressing challenges with innovative solutions, supporting complex client care dialogues, and ensuring reporting, staffing needs, and scheduling is well managed and completed. In this role you will report directly to the Clinical Operations Manager.
**Daily Responsibilities
- Managing the Care Team and daily operations of the team
- Liaising with the Clinical Operations Manager to address team challenges or growth opportunities within the Care Team
- Offering clear direction, tasks, deadlines and improved processes to the members of the Care Team
- Ensuring daily payment reconciliations are completed; Managing billing and invoices
- Managing incoming client queries and requests, completing client initial assessment and intake processes, and providing exceptional customer support to clients
- Demonstrating empathy, strong clinical knowledge and ability to respond to difficult situations effectively
- Managing the clinic's schedule, including supervising the therapists' schedules, and monitoring the waitlist
- Identifying and making internal and external client care referrals as supported by Clinical Operations Manager
- Supporting with therapist onboarding and training as related to the Care Team roles, and EMR and other technology, and being the ongoing point of contact for all operational processes for therapists
- Fostering team development and company culture through a variety of training, events, and socials (i.e., organizing socials, leading happy hour, writing newsletters, writing Friday call outs)
**Requirements**:
- We are a virtual-first company, so you'll work from home the majority of the time. You live within the GTHA to ensure that you can spend time at in-person events, meeting and training opportunities as they come up. Working from home, you'll need a private home workspace that allows for confidentiality and focus
- Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Minimum of five (5) years of recent management experience within a clinical environment, complemented by participation in leadership, business, or team development courses; Care Coordination or Intake Team experience is an asset
- Excellent knowledge and experience in Mental Health and Addictions
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective interpersonal relationships
- Ability to establish and maintain an engaged care team
- Highly motivated and self-directed team player
- Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills are required
- Established a reputation as a consultative and collaborative leader
