**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Health Services Project Coordinator, the Health Service Worker (Summer Student) position is a temporary 8-week term position responsible for assisting with the day-to-day program activities related to project planning, scheduling, liaising, and monitoring. This position will also assist with carrying out the administrative requirements that are necessary for the health services programming provided by IFNA.

**Reporting to**:
Health Services Project Coordinator

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with Communications Department to support records of events, program awareness etc.
- Liaison with the Community Health Staff to assist with programming.
- Inform and share programming information with community membership.
- Assist with preparation of meeting/training materials.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Position Requirements**:

- Post-Secondary education in a health-related field is an asset.
- 2-3 years’ experience in an administrative role preferred.
- Must be a status member from 1 of the 25 SLAAMB communities, must be aged 16 to 29 and attending post-secondary or graduated high school
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Able to manage deadlines and prioritize work.
- Strong knowledge of office procedures and practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills; able to build rapport and relationships and contribute to projects as a team member.
- Computer skills; should be proficient in MS Office Software.
- Familiarity of Indigenous communities and organizations; experience working for an Indigenous organization would be considered an asset.

**Mental Effort**:

- Activities require attentiveness and concentration for long periods.

**Physical Environment**:

- Office environment
- Position is in Thunder Bay or Sioux Lookout
