Payroll Administrator

**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, deductions, and benefits, on semimonthly basis.
- Maintain employee records in the Payroll system, including new hires, terminations, and changes to employment status, ROEs, and T4.
- Benefits Administrator
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local payroll regulations.
- Collaborate with the head of payroll department on accounts receivable and accounts payable functions related to payroll.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies or issues.
- Assist in the implementation of new payroll systems or upgrades to existing systems Payworks.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
**Skills**
- Proficiency in payroll software **Payworks**.
- Experience with Payworks system is a MUST
- Strong understanding of accounting principles related to payroll processing.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members across departments.
- Previous experience as a Payroll admin or in a similar role is preferred.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $28.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week
