As part of our team, you’ll collaborate with dedicated professionals who share these principles, making it a workplace you’ll be proud to contribute to **Job Summary** The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for performing a variety of mechanical assembly tasks to build custom generator sets. This includes assembling components such as fuel and oil filtration systems, long-run components, exhaust systems, cooling packages, and coupling engines, generators, and pumps. The role also involves assembling canopies and mounting units onto trailers, skids, and fuel tanks. **Overall Functions & Responsibilities**: - Mechanical assembly of industrial generators, machinery, trailers, and enclosures. - Reading and interpreting blueprints, bill of materials, and general arrangement drawings. - Performing testing and inspecting installations to ensure functionality of the assembled units. - Conducting site and equipment inspections and promptly reporting any equipment issues or unsafe conditions to management. - Utilizing hand tools, handheld power tools, and stationary equipment such as drill presses, bench grinders, jigsaws, etc. - Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace and shop environment. - Performing spray painting tasks, including painting skids and trailers in the paint booth. **Education & Qualifications**: - Minimum 1-2 years of experience working on mechanical engines. - Minimum 1-2 years of experience with electro-mechanical equipment. - Experience in a manufacturing environment. - Ability to read and interpret general arrangement drawings, work instructions, and bill of materials. - Competency in the operation of forklifts and overhead cranes. - Experience with John-Deere, Kubota industrial engines preferred. - Lift 50 lbs. with reasonable accommodation. - Problem-solving skills. - Own or willing to purchase basic set of hand tools (Socket sets, wrenches, power tools etc.). - Adaptable and highly flexible, with strong interpersonal skills to work well in a diverse, team-oriented environment. - Exhibit strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship on all projects. - Committed to upholding a high standard of integrity, professionalism, and work ethics. **The Benefits**: - **Competitive Salary**: $23 to $27 per hour - **Comprehensive Health Benefits**: Extended health plan including 100% drug coverage and a $3,000 health spending account - **Paid Time Off**: Vacation and sick time off - **Employer-Matched Pension Plan**: - **Professional Development**: Paid training and tuition reimbursement - **Tool and Boot Reimbursement Plan** **How to Apply**: If you believe your skill set matches the above description and are an enthusiastic, innovative, passionate, and energetic individual please click on the "Apply" button to submit your resume for consideration. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Company events - Company pension - Dental care - Disability insurance - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - Mileage reimbursement - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Tuition reimbursement - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Monday to Friday - Weekends as needed **Experience**: - mechanical engine assembly: 1 year (required) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2025-05-02 Expected start date: 2025-04-28
