About the role The Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing and troubleshooting electrical equipment. Their background in electrical/mechanical assembly greatly aids the team and ensures fast and efficient resolution to any issues that may arise. The successful candidate must be available to work the following shifts: Monday to Friday 6:30am-3:00pm and 2:45pm-11:15pm. Responsibilities Assemble and/or modify electronic parts and equipment Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, work orders or reports Ensure proper soldering and installation of electric wiring Test and troubleshoot equipment, and correct any defects Set up and operate hand and power tools Keep track of material, tools and equipment, and inform supervisor of shortages Properly and consistently document and follow established procedures Wear proper PPE at all times (must have own helmet and steel toe boots) Other duties as assigned Qualifications Electronic/Electrical Engineering Technologist, Electrical Engineer, or equivalent Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical/mechanical assembly and troubleshooting Knowledge of safe work practices Attention to detail Proficiency in written and spoken English Working Conditions Hazards associated with working in a fabrication shop ( noise, machinery) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $$ per hour Additional pay: Overtime pay Benefits: Casual dress Dental care Disability insurance Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Paid time off Vision care Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Night shift No weekends Application question(s): Are you one of the following: Electronic/Electrical Engineering Technologist, Electrical Engineer, or equivalent?
